Android app that will find position in space using Eddystone beacons

I need an android application that can scan Eddystone beacons signals and find the distance from them. It should be able to find of the phone having the app, the position in a space where a lot of beacons are placed (around 10). This app should work with any number of beacons (1 or more) and it's very important that the developer should explain me how this app works and how it was built. I will not be satisfied only with the app; I should also understand myself how it has been done
