Project Overview
We need a developer to create an Android app for calling regular phone numbers using VoIP/SIP, where users can buy minutes and set their own caller ID. We’ll connect the app to a SIP provider that handles the calls, but we want to charge our own rates to customers for a profit.
What You’ll Do
1. Find the Right SIP Provider:
- First, help us find a SIP provider that allows calls worldwide, has affordable rates, and lets us change the caller ID.
- During development, you’ll use your own API keys from this provider to build and test. When it’s done, we’ll switch to our keys.
2. Build the Android App:
- User Accounts: Customers can create accounts and log in.
- Buy Minutes: Customers purchase call minutes with Stripe or crypto.
- SIP Calling: Integrate the SIP provider’s API so users can make calls in the app.
- Caller ID: Let users choose what number shows up as their caller ID.
- Track Minutes: Show remaining minutes and call history for users.
3. Admin Panel:
- Build a web-based admin panel for us to:
- View and manage users and their minutes.
- Manually add minutes if needed.
- Track payments made through Stripe and crypto.
- Change API settings for the SIP provider as needed.
Important Notes
- Business Model: The idea is that we pay the provider’s rate (e.g., $0.03/minute) and charge customers a little more (e.g., $0.05/minute) to make a profit.
- Timeline: We need the basic version fast, within 48 hours, with login, call functionality, minute purchasing, and caller ID setup.
Requirements for You
- Experience with SIP/VoIP, Android app development, and payment integration.
- API Skills: You need to identify and integrate with the right SIP provider.
- Testing: Use your API keys for initial testing; we’ll switch to ours when it’s finished.
