Project Background
We aim to develop a virtual camera software that can replace the system camera feed on Android devices with local videos or RTMP stream videos. This software will be used for TikTok live streaming, allowing the OBS feed from a computer to be transmitted to a mobile device, replacing the system camera feed and achieving lossless, high-quality video output.
Main Functional Requirements
Camera Feed Replacement: Implement a virtual camera function that can replace the system camera input with video files from local storage or RTMP streams.
High-Quality Video Transmission: Ensure that the video quality remains lossless during transmission, supporting high resolutions (1080P and above).
Low-Latency Processing: Support real-time video processing to ensure smooth and timely streaming.
Discreetness: Ensure that the software is not detected by TikTok during use, maintaining user privacy and security. Currently known technical methods include obtaining root permissions to replace the system camera and using the LSP framework to replace the camera feed for specific scopes, but this method has been detected, and it is unclear whether there are more discreet replacement solutions available.
Stability Optimization: Optimize for TikTok live streaming to ensure stable video replacement during the live stream.
Device Compatibility: The software may be tailored for specific devices or ROM versions, depending on the memory performance requirements. If adapting to all Android devices and versions is too costly, we can focus on a limited number of models.
