Android OS Specialist (Custom x86 Image Development)

We’re seeking an experienced Android OS Specialist to develop a custom Android 14 x86 image optimized for Oracle VirtualBox. The goal is to create a stable, bootable Android environment compatible with Google Play Services, customizable for device model/vendor settings, and easily updatable via automation scripts.

This project involves:

Building Android from source (AOSP/LineageOS) for x86 architecture.

Integrating Google Play Services using open-source tools only (e.g., OpenGApps).

Optimizing the OS for VirtualBox (performance, display, networking).

Creating scripts for automated updates and customization.

Key Responsibilities
Android OS Development:

Build Android 14 from source (AOSP or LineageOS) for x86 architecture.

Integrate Google Play Services without proprietary API keys.

Resolve compatibility issues with VirtualBox (bootloader, kernel, drivers).

Customization & Configuration:

Enable dynamic adjustments for:

IP Address (via VirtualBox network settings).

Display Dimensions (resolution scaling).

Device Model/Vendor Name (e.g., Samsung S21, OnePlus 9 Pro).

Implement root access and developer tools.

Automation & Testing:

Develop scripts to automate ISO builds, updates, and GApps integration.

Create a Docker container for reproducible builds and QA testing.

Test cross-platform compatibility (Windows, macOS, Linux).

Documentation:

Provide clear guides for VirtualBox setup, customization, and updates.

Record video demonstrations of critical workflows (boot process, Play Store usage).

Technical Requirements
Must-Have Skills:

Expertise in AOSP/LineageOS compilation for x86.

Experience with Android-x86 or similar projects.

Familiarity with OpenGApps integration in custom ROMs.

Proficiency in VirtualBox configuration (networking, display, storage).

Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation.

Knowledge of Docker for containerized builds.

Version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Android Generic System Images (GSI).

Familiarity with Magisk for systemless root/modifications.

Understanding of kernel parameter tuning for virtualization.

Prior work on device spoofing (model/vendor name changes).

Deliverables
A stable Android 14 x86 ISO with:

Google Play Services (tested with apps like Fiverr, Instagram, Candy Crush).

Customizable device model, vendor name, IP, and display settings.

Minimal setup requirements for VirtualBox.

Automation Tools:

Docker container for building/testing the image.

Scripts to update the ISO with future AOSP releases.

Documentation:

VirtualBox optimization guide.

QA test logs and video demos.
