Android Homework Manager App

I need a clean, reliable Android application that helps users organize and track their homework. The core idea is a simple utility tool: enter an assignment, pick a due date, set optional reminders, and mark it complete when done. An intuitive, clutter-free interface is more important to me than elaborate graphics, so Material-style components are fine.

Essential requirements
• Built natively for Android (Java or Kotlin in Android Studio)
• Local data storage that persists between sessions—Room or a lightweight alternative is acceptable
• Push or in-app notifications for upcoming due dates
• Source code that’s easy to read and ready for future updates
