[Android + Firebase ] VPN application

We are seeking an experienced Android + Firebase engineer to join our team on a freelance basis to develop and enhance our VPN application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development, particularly with integrating Firebase services, and a passion for creating secure and efficient mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our team to understand the project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and maintain the Android application using Java/Kotlin, ensuring high performance and usability.
Implement Firebase services such as Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging, and Remote Config.
Design and integrate secure VPN protocols and encryption techniques.
Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues.
Optimize the application for performance, stability, and battery efficiency.
Stay up to date with the latest Android and Firebase technologies and best practices.
Requirements:

Proven experience in Android application development, with a strong knowledge of Java/Kotlin and the Android SDK.
Expertise in integrating and working with Firebase services, including Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging, and Remote Config.
Solid understanding of VPN protocols, encryption algorithms, and secure data transmission.
Experience with network programming and socket communication.
Familiarity with third-party VPN libraries and frameworks (e.g., OpenVPN, WireGuard) is a plus.
Knowledge of mobile app testing, debugging, and performance optimization techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
