Android Event Reminder Utility App
Budget: ₹3,000 – ₹25,000 INR
I need a seasoned Android developer to create a clean, lightweight utility app whose sole purpose is to deliver reliable event-based reminders. Users will be able to set a title, date, and time for each event, choose a custom notification tone, and receive a prompt even if the device has been rebooted or the app is in the background.
Core scope
• Build the reminder workflow: add, edit, delete, and list events.
• Fire local notifications precisely at the scheduled moment, with optional snooze and dismiss actions.
• Persist data with Room or another on-device database so events survive restarts.
• Follow current Android guidelines (targetSdk 34, Kotlin preferred) and handle Doze / battery optimizations gracefully.
Deliverables
1. Signed release APK plus debug build for testing
2. Complete, well-commented source code (Git repository or ZIP)
3. One-page setup & build README
4. Brief test report confirming alarms trigger on devices running Android 8-14
Acceptance criteria: every scheduled event must notify at the exact date-time set, pass a reboot test, and remain consistent across at least two different screen sizes.
If this sounds like your kind of focused build, let’s get started right away.
