Android Document Scanner POC App Using OpenCV

Job ID: 36767594

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I'm looking for a talented freelance developer to help me build an Android document scanner POC app using OpenCV. This would be a proof of concept app from which we can use clearly documented source code to later integrate ourselves into a field force automation app that we have.

The app should be designed with these functions as a priority:

a. Document detection and deskewing
b. Assemble of multiple photos (pages) into a single PDF file

It would also be very desirable but not essential to have:

c. Autocapture of the document
d. Image sharpening and optimization

I've done some research and think the best way to achieve this is through OpenCV. The app should also be built with Kotlin as the preferred programming language and platform. Although I'm open to different suggestions, those are my preferences.

I am looking for a skilled developer who is comfortable working with OpenCV and can bring this PoC to life. Once completed, we would expect well documented source code to integrate into our own app. It goes without saying that successful collaboration can bring future engagements.

If you have the skills and experience to help me build an Android document scanner POC app, I'd love to hear from you.
