Our current app, built using Kivy and designed for Raspberry Pi, needs a complete revamp. Your task will be to design and develop an Android UI that communicates smoothly with our machine's underlying Python code.

Responsibilities:
- Design & Develop: Craft an efficient, user-friendly Android UI to operate our cutting-edge machine.
- Python-Android Sync: Ensure seamless communication between the Android app and Python scripts.
- Optimize for Raspberry Pi: The UI should be responsive and tailored for Raspberry Pi performance.

Requirements:
- Android Mastery: Proven experience in Android development with a portfolio to back it up.
- Java & Kotlin Proficiency: Fluent in the leading languages of Android development.
- Raspberry Pi Experience: Must have developed and deployed applications on Raspberry Pi before.
