Android Developer to Modify RawBT App for Printing Multiple Kitchen Docket Copies
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
We are looking for a proven and experienced Android developer to help modify the OpenSource RawBT printing app (or build a clone with similar functionality) to support printing multiple copies of a kitchen docket automatically. This will be used in a restaurant food ordering system where one order needs to print several identical dockets (e.g., for different prep stations or staff roles).
The New code is to then be made available to anyone else as required by the Open Source License Agreement.
Key Requirements:
- Modify the Open Source RawBT or similar ESC/POS Android app to:
- Automatically print 2 or more copies of each kitchen order (configurable).
- Maintain print formatting and ESC/POS compatibility.
- Ensure stability with Bluetooth, USB, and/or network thermal printers.
- Should work seamlessly with existing print calls (e.g., via share menu or print intent).
- Optional: add simple settings interface to configure number of copies.
Required Skills:
- Android development (Java/Kotlin)
- Experience with print layout customization
- Familiarity with RawBT or ESC/POS
- Knowledge of PrintService architecture or custom Android printing services.
- Experience with Star CloudPRNT, Sunmi, POS58, Epson, or similar printer brands.
- Restaurant/Kitchen display or printing app development.
