Our latest offering, Miko 2, is an advanced personal robot for kids, powered by cutting-edge features such as a proprietary emotional intelligence machine, TeleConnect, and has self-initiated conversational abilities, obstacle & edge sensing, and more. Miko is currently sold in over 90 countries.
We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. This Android app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our applications. Android programming works closely with other app development and technical teams. The developer will get an opportunity to work with Android App development for the companion mobile application and the robot.
Experience:
Should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in building Android applications and publishing to Play Store
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
