Update 11 Existing Android Apps
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I manage a United-Kingdom-based Google Play organisation account first opened in 2015. It currently hosts 11 live Android apps, all written in Java, and I need an experienced Android developer to bring every one of them up to date. The task is strictly about updating what already exists—no new app development is planned for this phase.
What you will have from day one
• Complete Java source code for each app
• Original keystores / Play App-Signing keys
• Full Play Console access
• Direct support from the previous developer whenever clarification is required
What I need from you
• Analyse the 11 codebases and identify everything required to compile cleanly against the latest Android SDK and comply with current Google Play policies
• Refactor or replace deprecated APIs, upgrade libraries and build tools, fix any compilation errors, and resolve Play Console warnings
• Produce release-ready AABs, sign with the supplied keys, and submit each update through the console
• Stay on the task until every update is accepted and live on Google Play
I’m happy to set milestones on an app-by-app basis and I’m looking for a long-term partnership after this first round of updates. If you’ve recently maintained or migrated legacy Java apps, I’d love to hear about it along with your estimated time frame for all eleven titles.
