Unity Dev for Mobile App Enhancement
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Unity Mobile Developer Needed for App Cleanup + iOS Build (Ongoing $400–$500/mo)
Project: Illusion Trails – Hiking Simulation App
Platforms: Android (published), iOS (not yet published)
Engine: Unity
I’m looking for a reliable Unity developer to help maintain and improve an existing mobile app currently live on the Google Play Store. The app is stable but needs cleanup, world/environment fixes, navigation improvements, and an iOS build + App Store submission.
This is an ongoing monthly role (10–20 hours/mo) for someone who is comfortable maintaining an existing Unity project rather than building a new one from scratch.
What You’ll Work On
Fixing navigation issues (player movement, pathing, transitions)
Cleaning up scenes and improving environmental realism
Optimizing performance for mobile
Addressing minor bugs and polishing world interactions
Preparing and submitting the iOS build to the Apple App Store
Ongoing maintenance, updates, and small improvements
Initial Paid Test Tasks
To ensure a good fit, you’ll complete two small paid tasks:
1. Quick Code Review (30–60 minutes)
Open the project, review structure, identify issues, and provide a short written summary of:
What’s clean
What needs improvement
Any red flags
Estimated effort for fixes
2. Improve One Small Environment Area
Take a small portion of one scene and make it:
More realistic
Better lit
Better optimized
More visually coherent
This shows your actual Unity skill and workflow.
Required Skills
Strong Unity experience (2021 or newer)
Mobile optimization (Android + iOS)
Experience publishing apps to both Google Play and Apple App Store
Scene/world building and environment polish
Navigation and movement system experience
Ability to work with existing codebases
Clear communication and reliable delivery
Nice to Have
Experience with hiking/walking simulation, open‑world, or exploration‑style apps
Experience improving realism in natural environments
Familiarity with mobile performance constraints
Budget & Commitment
$400–$500 per month
10–20 hours per month
Long‑term maintenance role if the fit is good
To Apply
Please send:
Links to Unity mobile apps you’ve published (Android and/or iOS)
A short video or screenshots of past Unity environment work
Your hourly rate
Confirmation you can complete the two paid test tasks
If you deliver well and communicate clearly, this will be a long‑term role.
