Simple Android Chat App
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I’m building a lightweight chat experience focused solely on text messaging and need an Android-only mobile app to make it happen. The goal is a clean, responsive interface where users can send and receive messages in real time without any extras such as voice notes or file sharing.
Here’s what I have in mind: the project covers everything from setting up the back-end (Firebase Realtime Database, Firestore, Socket.IO—whatever you’re most comfortable with) through to a polished Kotlin or Java front-end that handles user authentication, conversation lists, individual chat screens, push notifications, and basic offline caching. Smooth scrolling, message status indicators, and solid input validation are must-haves.
Deliverables
• Full Android Studio project with readable, well-commented source code
• Signed APK / AAB ready for Play Store submission
• Brief setup guide so I can run and extend the project locally
If you’re confident you can ship a fast, reliable text chat app on Android, let’s talk timing and next steps.
