About the Role
We’re looking for a java game designer with experience in native Android game development (Java, not JavaScript). You’ll design, develop, and optimize mobile games featuring beloved children’s characters, collaborating closely with artists, animators, and AI engineers.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Android games in Java
Implement game mechanics, UI/UX, and character interactions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring characters to life
Optimize for performance across Android devices
Test, debug, and resolve gameplay or performance issues
Deliver production-ready builds on schedule
Requirements
3+ years in Java-based Android game development
Proven experience shipping native Android games (Java)
Strong knowledge of game loops, animations, and 2D/3D rendering
Proficiency with Android Studio & the mobile dev lifecycle
Skilled in performance optimization, memory management, and debugging
Portfolio/examples of past Android game projects (required)
Interest in AI/ML is a plus
