Minimalistic E-Commerce Mobile App Development
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
I am looking for an experienced and talented mobile app developer to create a user-friendly, minimalistic, and high-performance e-commerce mobile application for both Android and iOS. The app will connect local businesses with consumers, allowing them to purchase discounted unsold food items, similar to platforms like "Too Good To Go." The focus will be on creating a seamless user experience while promoting sustainability and reducing food waste. The application will need to include features for both consumers and merchants, and the UI/UX should prioritize ease of use and clean, minimalist design.
Key Features:
User Features:
User Registration & Login: Users should be able to sign up using email, phone number, or third-party authentication (Google, Facebook, Apple ID, etc.).
Geolocation & Map Integration: Display nearby participating businesses based on the user’s location. Real-time map functionality is required to show available offers in their vicinity.
Product Listings & Search: Users can browse food offers from different vendors, with search filters for location, category, price, etc.
Shopping Cart & Checkout: Seamless add-to-cart functionality, allowing users to review and edit their selections before proceeding to payment.
Payment Integration: Support for various payment methods (credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay). Secure and compliant with industry standards.
Order Tracking & Notifications: Push notifications for new offers, order updates, and reminders to pick up items. Real-time updates on the status of an order.
Product Reviews & Ratings: Users can leave reviews and ratings on food and businesses after pickup.
Fidelity Program: A reward system that allows users to earn points for every purchase, redeemable for future discounts or special offers.
User Profile: A section where users can manage their account, payment methods, previous orders, and preferences.
Merchant Features:
Merchant Registration & Login: Businesses should have their own registration process, with the ability to sign in and manage their profile, offers, and available inventory.
Inventory Management: Merchants can add unsold items to the app, manage quantities, set pickup times, and list prices.
Order Management: Merchants should be able to see and track user orders in real time, with options to update statuses (e.g., “Ready for Pickup”).
Geolocation-Based Listings: Merchants will have the option to display their offers only within certain geographical limits to target nearby users.
Payments & Earnings Dashboard: Merchants can view their earnings, payment history, and expected payouts.
Review & Rating Dashboard: A system for merchants to monitor user feedback and reviews.
Other Essential Features:
Multi-language Support: The app should be designed with the potential to support multiple languages, starting with English and potentially expanding based on future markets.
Data Privacy & Security: Ensure that all data, especially personal information and payment details, is securely handled and complies with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
Scalable Infrastructure: The app should be designed to handle growth, ensuring that it remains performant as the user and merchant base expands.
Admin Panel: A web-based admin interface to manage user accounts, merchant activities, app content, and system configurations.
Design & UI/UX Expectations:
A modern, minimalistic design focused on ease of use and fast navigation, green tones.
Clean, intuitive layout with clear calls-to-action.
Consistent branding with an eco-friendly, community-driven theme.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in building e-commerce or similar mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
Familiarity with geolocation services, payment integration, and database management.
Strong understanding of minimalistic design principles and user experience.
A portfolio showcasing similar projects, especially within the e-commerce or food-tech space, is required.
Experience working with APIs, back-end development, and cloud services is a plus.
Deliverables:
Fully functional mobile app for both Android and iOS.
Source code and documentation for both platforms.
Assistance with app store submissions (Google Play, Apple App Store).
Post-launch support for bug fixes and updates.
The ideal freelancer should have prior experience in developing e-commerce mobile applications, and a strong understanding of minimalistic design principles. A portfolio showcasing similar projects will be highly regarded.
