Los Angeles Educational Android App
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
The project revolves around building an educational Android application that acts as a “Personal Teacher” for users who want to learn Android-app concepts step by step. Think bite-sized lessons, short challenges, and quick feedback loops that make the phone feel like a private tutor.
Core scope
• Design and code a clean, modern Android native app (Kotlin or Java) that opens with a simple onboarding flow, then serves structured lessons on Android development fundamentals.
• Integrate quizzes or mini-tests so learners can check understanding after each topic.
• Track user progress locally and sync it to the cloud so they can pick up where they left off.
Why location matters
Face-to-face sessions will speed up architecture decisions, UI reviews, and periodic demos. I’m therefore restricting this job to developers who are physically based in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Deliverables
1. Interactive prototype to confirm layout and lesson flow
2. Fully functional APK plus all project source files (Android Studio)
3. Brief build & deployment guide so I can publish the app to Google Play
Acceptance criteria
• Smooth navigation, no crashes during a 30-minute exploratory test on at least two recent Android versions
• Quiz results and progress fully retained after app restarts and device reboots
• All code passes a lint check with no critical warnings
Let’s set up an in-person kickoff in LA to finalise feature priorities, then move through short, focused milestones until the first public release is ready.
