Convert Shopify Store to App
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m ready to take my existing Shopify store into the App Store and Google Play, and I need a developer who can deliver fully native Android and iOS builds that will sail through the 2026 review requirements.
Here’s the scope in plain terms:
• Codebase: Native Swift / Kotlin (no web wrappers).
• Android specifics: compile with SDK 35, respect Google’s 16 KB page-size mandate, and integrate the upcoming Age Signals API so the app is review-proof for statewide age-gating rules.
• UX must feel at home on mobile: a native bottom navigation bar mapped to my main sections, proper Android back-stack handling so back navigates shop history instead of quitting, and a polished launch-time splash screen.
• Core feature set: for launch I only need the product catalog with search. (Cart, checkout, and accounts can stay in the web view for now or be phased in later.)
• Engagement: Firebase Cloud Messaging or an equivalent service for push notifications—this is critical so the build isn’t flagged as “just a website.”
• Assets: all logos, colors, fonts, and icon sets are already prepared; you can drop them straight into Xcode and Android Studio.
Acceptance criteria
– Builds compile cleanly with no warnings against SDK 35 (Android) and the current Xcode release.
– Test uploads pass Google Play Pre-launch report and Apple TestFlight review on the first try.
– Age Signals API returns compliant responses on every relevant request.
– Bottom nav and back-button behavior work as specified on Android 13+ and iOS 17+.
– Push notifications successfully trigger on device from a test topic.
– Final hand-off includes source code, signing instructions, and short release notes I can paste into both stores.
If this matches your expertise, let’s talk timelines and milestones so we can get the apps live well ahead of Google’s 2026 cutoff.
