Compile & Tweak Android App
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I have an Android utility app hosted on GitHub that already runs well in its open-source form. What I now need is a clean, reproducible build and a handful of very small feature tweaks before publishing.
Scope
• Clone the existing repository (link provided after award) and set up a working Gradle/Android Studio project.
• Produce a signed release APK.
• Implement the agreed-upon minor feature tweaks—nothing major, mostly conditional checks and UI micro-interactions. No new screens, no architectural refactor.
Acceptance criteria
• All original functionality remains intact.
• The specified tweaks behave exactly as outlined in the brief and pass my test cases.
• Final APK installs and launches on Android 8.0+ devices without crashes.
Tools you’ll likely use include Android Studio, Gradle, and either Java or Kotlin (the repo is mostly Kotlin). If you have CI experience with GitHub Actions, that’s a plus but not mandatory.
