Android E-commerce App Development

I’m ready to launch an e-commerce experience on Android and need a developer who can take the project from first commit to Google Play release. The core of the job is building a native Android app that lets shoppers browse a structured product catalog, add items to cart, and complete secure check-out. Smooth, reliable payment gateway integration is mandatory, and customer trust features—especially the ability to leave ratings and reviews—must feel native to Android design guidelines.
Key deliverables
• Complete Android Studio project with clean, well-commented Kotlin or Java code
• Product catalog module pulling data from my existing REST/JSON endpoints (I can adjust payloads if you have clear specs)
• Integrated payment gateway (Stripe is my preferred provider, but I’m open to alternatives if you can justify the choice)
• User reviews & ratings tied to individual products, including basic moderation controls in the admin API
• Play-ready release build plus a short hand-off video or doc that walks me through publishing, signing keys, and future versioning
Acceptance criteria
• App installs on Android 8.0+ without crashes or warning logs
• Test card transactions succeed in sandbox and real cards process in live mode
• Catalog items render within 200 ms on a mid-range device over 4G
• Reviews persist, update, and display instantly after submission
• All code passes a brief code review and lints clean with Android Lint
