Android Social Media App Build
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I’m planning to launch a brand-new social media experience on Android and need a developer who can turn the concept into a polished, publish-ready app. The core idea is to give users a fresh way to connect and, ultimately, help me generate revenue through the platform.
Scope
You will handle the full Android development cycle—from setting up the project structure and designing a clean, intuitive UI to coding the main social features (profiles, real-time feeds, likes/comments, basic notifications) and integrating secure sign-in options. I’m comfortable starting with native Android (Kotlin/Java), but I’m open to modern frameworks such as Flutter or React Native if they speed up delivery without sacrificing quality.
Key Deliverables
• Functional Android APK + source code
• Simple, scalable back-end or cloud service hook-ups for user data and media storage
• Clear build/run instructions so I can test on my own device
• A brief handover document outlining next steps for updates and potential monetisation methods (ads, in-app purchases, or other suggestions)
Acceptance Criteria
1. App installs and launches without crashes on current Android versions.
2. Users can register, create a profile, post text/images, and interact with posts.
3. Code is well-commented and handed over via Git or a private repo.
4. Any third-party libraries are documented and properly licensed.
Timeline & Collaboration
I’d like to see a working prototype quickly so we can iterate together. Regular check-ins through chat or short video calls will keep us aligned. Once we have a stable Android build, there’s a chance to expand to iOS later—so clean, modular code is important.
If you’ve built social or community-driven Android apps before, let’s talk about how we can bring this vision to life.
