Android Social Chat App

I need an experienced Android developer to turn the idea of “Balesin Chat” into a polished social-networking messenger focused on fast, reliable text conversations. The scope, for now, is intentionally lean: Android only, text messaging only, but designed in a way that lets us layer voice or video later without rewriting core components.

Here is what I expect from you. You’ll architect and code the full Android client—including registration, secure real-time text exchange, basic user profiles, and push notifications—using modern Android best practices (Kotlin + Jetpack components or your battle-tested equivalent). For the backend, feel free to suggest Firebase Realtime Database, Firestore, or another scalable option; I’m open so long as it delivers low-latency messaging and end-to-end encryption.

Deliverables will be a runnable APK, clean, well-commented source code, and concise setup documentation so I can build the project locally. Once everything is in place and passing a quick functional test (install, sign-up, send/receive messages instantly), the milestone is complete.
