Android Productivity App Development

Job ID: 39761221

Budget: ₹150,000 – ₹250,000 INR

My name is Bharani, and I am working as an Administrative Officer at United India Insurance Company. In my profession, providing timely and accurate premium quotes to customers is very important. Currently, I have noticed a lag in delivering quotes, and though some apps are available in the market, most of them are not updated regularly.

I am therefore interested in developing a Premium Calculation App—firstly for my organization, and later extending it to other companies. I came across the DUCO Insurance app on the Play Store, which is a good reference. However, I would like the new app to be more user-friendly and have an admin panel for updating rating factors, terms, and conditions from time to time.

I would like to know:
1. The process and timeline required to develop such an app.
2. The cost estimate for development and future maintenance.
3. The features and technologies you recommend to make the app scalable
I need a clean, well-architected Android application focused on boosting user productivity. The core concept is still flexible, but at minimum the app should help users capture tasks quickly, organize them intuitively, and surface upcoming priorities without friction. I am comfortable discussing whether we lean on Kotlin or Java, though modern Android-Studio-based, MVVM-friendly code is preferred.

Here is what I expect at hand-off:
• A signed APK ready for Play Store upload
• Complete, human-readable source code with clear package structure
• Brief setup documentation covering environment, libraries, and build steps

If you have experience integrating calendar data, notifications, or lightweight cloud sync (Firebase, Room, Retrofit, etc.), please highlight that, as these may become phase-two enhancements. Clean UI/UX, dark-mode support, and responsive performance are non-negotiable acceptance criteria. Let me know your estimated timeline and any clarifying questions so we can move straight into design mock-ups and sprint planning.
