Android Live Football Scores App

I’m building an Android-only application that keeps fans up to date with every kick of the ball. The core of the project is a real-time feed that displays live score updates the moment they happen. Alongside the score stream, the app should surface concise match statistics—possession, shots on target, cards—so users can grasp the flow of play at a glance. As soon as a match finishes, short video or animated highlights need to be available inside the same interface.

Push notifications are essential: a polite buzz at kick-off, another for each goal, and a final one at the full-time whistle. Users must be able to toggle these alerts on or off per match. I would like clean material-style UI, efficient use of an existing football data API (feel free to recommend one), and rock-solid handling of poor network connections so scores never freeze.

• Production-ready Android app (Kotlin or Java)
• Source code in a private Git repository
• Integration with a live football data provider for scores, stats, and highlight links
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (or equivalent) configured for event notifications
• Simple onboarding screen plus match list, match detail, and settings screens
• APK for testing, then signed bundle for Play Store release
