I’m upgrading an Android-based product and need a seasoned low-level developer to create a custom filesystem kernel module. The work is entirely within the kernel space: no app or HAL layers—just clean, efficient C code that plugs straight into the Android kernel tree.

Scope
• Analyse the current kernel source (LineageOS 20 / Linux 5.10) and identify the integration points for a new virtual filesystem.
• Write, build, and unit-test the module so it compiles with the existing AOSP tool-chain (clang/llvm, arm64).
• Provide clear patches (git format-patch) plus a ready-to-load .ko and a brief README covering build flags, mount parameters, and any sysfs/proc hooks you introduce.

Key expectations
• Solid experience with VFS, dentry/inode operations, and SELinux contexts on Android.
• Ability to debug with kgdb, ftrace, and printk without polluting the logcat.
• Code must pass clang-tidy and sparse with no new warnings.

Delivery & review
I’ll test on real hardware and in QEMU; once the module mounts, handles POSIX operations correctly, and survives stress tests (fsx, bonnie++), the milestone is approved.
