Android App Source Recovery
Budget: $1,000 – $3,000 CAD
I have an existing APK but no longer have the original project files. I need the application fully decompiled, cleaned up, and rebuilt into a readable, compilable Android Studio project so I can resume normal development.
The end goal is two-fold:
1. Recover the complete source code (Java/Kotlin, resources, Gradle setup) in a form that opens and runs in the latest stable Android Studio.
2. Once the codebase is restored, make several user-interface refinements. No new features are required at this stage; the functional behaviour of the app should remain unchanged.
Deliverables
• Recreated Android Studio project, free of obfuscation and with meaningful class/resource names where possible
• Clear build instructions and any required dependencies
• Updated UI elements applied and demonstrated in a debug build (APK)
• Brief summary of the decompilation process so I understand any limitations or edge cases
Please use whatever reverse-engineering tools you are most comfortable with—jadx, Apktool, JADX-GUI, or similar—and keep the workflow transparent so the code can be maintained easily afterward.
