Android App UI & Performance Upgrade

I have a functioning Android application that needs a visual and technical refresh. The core features already work, but the interface feels dated and the app occasionally lags on mid-range devices. I’d like you to give the UI a modern, clean look that follows current Material guidelines while also streamlining code and assets so screens load faster and scrolling stays smooth.
You will receive the full Android Studio project along with a short video walkthrough that highlights the pain points. Your task is to redesign the existing layouts, refine colour and typography choices, and clean up animations or transitions that feel jerky. On the performance side, I want measurable gains—memory footprint reduced, start-up time cut, and CPU/GPU usage optimised during heavy lists or image loads.
Deliverables
• Updated source project with refactored UI components and optimised code
• A debug APK so I can test on multiple devices
• A brief change log outlining what you did and before/after performance snapshots (e.g., start-up time, FPS or jank statistics)
