Andoid application to fetch api data

I require a simple Android application targeting Android 8 or 8.1 (Oreo) to test something out. The application will consume a REST API returning JSON and display some data. The application should be Java based and use Retrofit for API handling. There is no authentication required and we are only performing GETs. Screen size is locked to 720 x 1280. Deliverables are full Android studio project directory with source.
