SPSS Data Prep for PLS-SEM

Project overview:
I have a Qualtrics export (20 questions: matrices, rankings, categorical, open-ended) that needs to be:

1. Imported into SPSS with clean variable names and labels

2. Recoded into unified Likert scales, budget % codes, binary yes/no

3. Reverse-coded negatively worded items

4. Composite-score creation for each latent construct (mean of ≥3 items)


5. Reliability analysis (Cronbach’s α) and outlier diagnostics (Z and Mahalanobis)


6. Delivery of a clean .sav file plus fully annotated .sps syntax

> Deliverables:

SPSS .sav data file ready for PLS-SEM

Annotated SPSS syntax (.sps) documenting each step

Brief summary report of reliability (α values) and outlier findings

> Timeline:
I’d like this completed within 5 days of hiring.

*Preferred qualifications:

Expert in SPSS v29 (or later)

Experience preparing data for PLS-SEM or CFA

Strong attention to detail and clear syntax annotation
