Worked as a Software QA Engineer on a large-scale Content Management System (CMS) used to manage educational content for Careers360, one of India's leading EdTech platforms. The platform enables content teams, editors, and administrators to create, review, publish, and manage educational resources including articles, e-books, college information, exams, courses, scholarships, rankings, and user-generated content.
The CMS also includes role-based access control, workflow approvals, media management, SEO configuration, content scheduling, analytics, and integration with multiple internal services.
My Responsibilities
Manual Testing
Analyzed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and user stories.
Designed and executed 200+ detailed test cases and test scenarios.
Performed Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, Integration Testing, Exploratory Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Verified complete content publishing workflows from Draft → Review → Approval → Publish.
Tested article creation, editing, deletion, scheduling, and version history.
Validated image uploads, PDF/eBook management, metadata, tags, categories, and URL generation.
Tested search functionality, filters, pagination, sorting, and permissions.
Performed Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) testing for Admin, Editor, Content Writer, Reviewer, SEO Manager, and Super Admin roles.
