Analog Radio Transmitter Specialist

Job ID: 40570201

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

I run an analog broadcasting facility and need an experienced radio engineer to work directly on our transmitter and tower-mounted antenna system. Your focus will be the RF chain—from the exciter right through to the radiating elements—making sure we’re operating at peak efficiency and fully within our licensed technical limits.

You’ll have access to current schematics, field strength and SWR readings, plus any service manuals we hold. Using your own measurement gear (spectrum analyser, dummy load, vector VSWR meter, etc.) or equivalent tools on-site, I’d like you to:

• Diagnose and resolve any signal quality or coverage issues linked to the transmitter or antenna
• Retune, align and verify power output and reflected power figures
• Document every step so future maintenance is straightforward

Acceptance criteria
• Final VSWR no higher than 1.3 : 1 across the authorised bandwidth
• Power output within the tolerance specified on our licence
• A concise service report with before/after readings and clear next-step recommendations

If you’ve repeatedly handled analog FM or AM transmitters and antenna arrays and can demonstrate solid results, I’d be keen to bring you on board quickly.
