Custom Carrier Board Design for Orange Pi CM4
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
We are looking for an experienced electronics designer to develop a custom carrier board for the Orange Pi CM4, using KiCad as the design tool. The board must integrate the following components and functionalities:
7-inch HDMI capacitive touchscreen display
Analog audio output via I2S DAC with integrated headphone amplifier
Rotary encoder with built-in push button
Analog volume control with on/off switch
Two additional physical navigation buttons
Working Ethernet and WiFi connectivity
Power input via PoE (Power over Ethernet) and/or USB-C (both options must be available)
One accessible USB port for USB flash drive support
Deliverables:
Complete schematic and PCB layout in KiCad
Production-ready Gerber files and BOM
Component selection optimized for availability in Chinese PCB assembly services (e.g. JLCPCB, PCBWay)
BOM with LCSC or equivalent part numbers
Manufacturing documentation ready to upload for turnkey PCB fabrication + assembly
Technical documentation for all connections (GPIO, I2S, power, USB, etc.)
Important Note:
The I2S DAC must include an onboard amplifier suitable for direct headphone output. No external audio hardware should be required.
Follow-up Stage (not included in this post):
A second stage involving remote support for system bring-up and functional testing may be considered after hardware delivery.
