Compact USB-C PD Sink PCB

Job ID: 40109077

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

Project Scope

Design a PCB that accepts three USB-C power-only inputs and provides one USB-C output.

All USB-C connectors will be off-board and connected to the PCB via wires (no USB-C connectors mounted directly on the PCB).

Only one charger will be used at a time, but the design must be safe if two inputs are accidentally connected.

Input power paths must use ideal-diode MOSFET OR-ing to prevent back-feeding.

Output must act as a USB-C PD sink, negotiating 5 V/3 A and 9 V/3 A (up to 27 W) for smartphone charging.

No firmware or MCU required.
Deliverables I am expecting:
• Schematic (PDF + editable format)
• BOM with manufacturer part numbers and at least one in-stock source for each line item
• Production-ready Gerber and drill files
• Brief design notes that highlight the OR-ing scheme and PD negotiation method

I will run a DFM check and drop the files straight to my assembler, so clarity and correctness are essential.

Technical Requirements

USB-C PD sink controller (preferred: STUSB4500 or equivalent).

2-layer PCB, 1.6 mm FR-4, 1 oz copper.

Solid ground plane; VBUS traces sized for 3 A.

Full protection: TVS diodes, ESD on CC lines.

Ultra-low profile design: total PCB + components height ≤ 3 mm (excluding USB-C connectors).

Suitable for enclosure in neutral-cure silicone.
