wordpress theme running in bitnami in AWS EC2 tries to load scripts from wrong path/url

I believe the problem have something to do with bitnami symlinks and wordpress theme using a deprecated function to retrieve the content/web url (or one that is not considering the symlinks effect). For what I underestand there is a function that it does.
