WordPress Migration from AWS EC2 to Lightsail

Job ID: 38761597

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

I'm looking for a professional to migrate my existing WordPress site from an AWS EC2 instance to AWS Lightsail. The project doesn't involve any modifications to the website - just a straight migration to the new AWS Lightsail platform.

Key aspects of the project:
- The current AWS EC2 setup is standard, with no custom configurations.
- Its hosted in AWS and uses the following AWS tools I would ideally like to remove: virtual private cloud (VPN), elastic cloud compute (EC2), elastic load balancing (EC2). It also uses relational database service (RDS) but I am not sure if that is still needed once hosted using AWS Lightsail.
- The website is hosted and registered with AWS route 53. It is built with wordpress and changes are managed with the wordpress CMS. That’s to remain.

WHAT DO I NEED?
- I want to eliminate EC2, VPN and replace with lighstail. I am looking to save money.
- I will need assistance in:

a) setting up the Lightsail instance. (Linux/Unix = platform, WordPress = blueprint
b) connect it to WordPress website
c) Set up a static IP (In the Lightsail console, Create a static IP and attach it to WordPress instance)
d) Configure a custom domain (use an existing domain, In Lightsail, create a DNS zone for domain
Add DNS records to point domain to your static IP. Update domain registrar's nameservers to use Lightsail's DNS)
e) Enable HTTPS (recommended)
f) remove redundant existing EC2 and existing VPC setup in AWS.

The ideal candidate for this project should have:
- Extensive experience with WordPress and AWS.
- Proven track record of successful site migrations.
- Ability to migrate away from ec2 setup to a Lightsail setup.

SPECIFICS:
-The migration should be completed within a month.
-Include scheduled testing and validation after the migration - website must work and EC2 and VPC and RDS are to be removed.
-Please include backup and recovery protocols during the migration.
-Please assist in configuring AWS Lightsail backups.
-Migrate the database from RDS to an AWS Lightsail database instance.
-The migration should be performed at any time.
-The migration can be scheduled to take place anytime.
