Strapi Developer for Amazon Rekognition Facial Recognition Plugin
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
We are seeking a talented and experienced developer to build a custom facial recognition plugin for Strapi, leveraging Amazon Rekognition. The plugin will enable photo organization, automatic facial indexing, and the ability to search for faces within a database of uploaded photos. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Strapi and AWS Rekognition. This plugin will be used to streamline the management of persons' data at an event venue by automatically organizing and identifying individuals through their face photos.
Key Features to Implement:
1. Rekognition Collection Management:
Ensure the creation and management of an AWS Rekognition collection where indexed faces are stored.
Handle cases where the collection already exists, and prevent multiple collections from being created.
Automatically create the Rekognition collection upon Strapi startup, if it does not already exist.
2. Automatic Face Indexing:
When admins manually upload photos of face (through the Strapi admin panel) to a person entity, the plugin should automatically detect and index face using Amazon Rekognition.
Each Person entity should be associated with a unique Face ID (from Rekognition) stored in the database.
3. Intelligent Face Search:
The plugin should provide an admin UI to search for faces by uploading an image.
If the face exists in the Rekognition collection, the corresponding Person data should be retrieved and displayed (with an option to edit)
If no match is found, the system should offer the option to add the person as a new entry.
4. Bulk Photo Upload and Indexing:
Implement the ability to upload and index faces from multiple photos in a single batch process.
Automatically assign faces to new Person entries if not seen before, and assign all people to a preselected Event entry.
5. Search:
Allow searching for persons by metadata (name, age) in addition to facial recognition.
Allow custom confidence scores for facial recognition matches.
6. User permissions, allow the tool to respect user permissions.
7. Admin "Front end"
Build a front end where staff can navigate through information based on the schemas and explore all of it, with a link to edit any page for those with permissions.
8 Custom Password Protected Mobile Friendly Front-end
A front end, protected by a simple password, that allows a user to take a photo with their mobile and search the backend and returns closest match with all details of that person.
