Senior DevOps Engineer
Budget: $2 – $12 USD
I am looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with ten (10) years' experience, of which eight (8) must have been as a DevOps Engineer. Must be able to work part-time with another Senior DevOps Engineer. You will primarily focus on:
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Management:
Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
CI/CD Pipeline & Microservices Development:
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable software releases. Planning, deploying and managing web apps as microservices.
Monitoring and Logging:
Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch to ensure system health and performance, and to quickly identify and resolve issues.
Cloud Resource Management:
Manage cloud resources (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure cost-effective use of services, scalability, and optimal performance.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and manage security best practices, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance auditing, to protect data and infrastructure.
Automation and Scripting:
Develop and maintain automation scripts using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline processes such as deployment, scaling, and management of cloud environments.
System and Application Performance Tuning:
Optimize the performance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure through load balancing, caching, and other performance-enhancing techniques.
Disaster Recovery and Backup Planning:
Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) strategies and backup solutions to ensure data integrity and system availability in case of failures.
Collaboration with Development Teams:
Work closely with software developers to ensure that development, testing, and production environments are consistent and meet operational requirements.
Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
Lead or participate in incident response and root cause analysis to quickly resolve production issues and prevent future occurrences.
