Scheduled Start/Stop of EC2 Instances
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need a solution that automatically starts and stops my AWS EC2 instances on weekdays and week ends.
- Actions: Both starting and stopping the instances are required.
- Timing: This process needs to occur automatically, on a set schedule, every day
Ideal skills for this job would include:
- Proficiency in AWS, specifically EC2
- Experience with AWS scheduling tools
- Knowledge of AWS scripting and APIs
Your role would be to:
- Create a script or set up an AWS service that manages this process
- Ensure the solution is reliable and does not require manual intervention
- Fully document the process and script /service (in English please)
- Provide easy access to the script/service to modify the Instance ID, the days and start & stop times individually for each EC2 Instance.
- Each instance to have individual days, and stop start times.
- Provide the ability - and how to notes - to add and remove instances from the script/service
- Provide an email notification if an instance does not start on schedule
- There are currently 7 EC2 instances, one of which can be used for testing.
