Resize and Change Instance Type of AWS EC2 Instance without Changing IP Address
I am currently using a T2.micro instance type for my AWS EC2 instance. However, I would like to change the instance type to M5.large.
Requirements:
- Resize and change the instance type of my AWS EC2 instance from T2.micro to M5.large
- Ensure that the IP address remains the same during the instance type change
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience with AWS EC2 instances and instance type changes
- Knowledge of AWS networking and IP address management
- Familiarity with AWS CLI and AWS Management Console
- Ability to efficiently resize and change the instance type without causing downtime or disruption to the running applications
Please note that the project requires a seamless transition from the current T2.micro instance type to the desired M5.large instance type, while keeping the IP address unchanged.
