Optimization and Customization of Zoom SSO with AWS Identity Center

We are an educational institute seeking a skilled AWS and SSO developer to enhance and streamline the Zoom sign-in experience, integrated with AWS Identity Center. Our main educational platform operates on Moodle, and our primary data management is handled through Notion. The potential for full integration with these systems could be considered a significant advantage. The primary goals are to simplify the authentication flow, align the user interface with our institutional branding, and fine-tune user permissions within Zoom to guarantee a seamless user experience. We also aim to implement a comprehensive attendance tracking system for our meeting participants.
Specific Objectives:
Customization of the Login Interface:
Redesign and improve the login interface to reflect our educational institute’s branding.
Provide a seamless user experience and reduce the steps required to access Zoom meetings.
Management of User Permissions in Zoom:
Configure Zoom so that all registered users have limited permissions, solely to attend meetings, with no ability to host or manage meetings.
Ensure that permission settings are automatic and consistent for all new and existing users.
Attendance Recording and Tracking:
Implement a system to log each user’s attendance at meetings with personalized data such as name, department, and time of entry/exit.
Ensure these data are accessible in a format that is easy to analyze and export for internal reporting.
Technical Requirements:
Proven experience in AWS, especially with AWS Identity Center and Amazon Cognito.
Deep knowledge in setting up SSO and managing federated identities, with a focus on SAML-based authentication.
Proficiency in working with APIs, particularly Zoom’s API for user management and reporting.
Prior experience in customizing authentication flows and UI/UX design, with an understanding of educational environments.
Familiarity with integration challenges related to educational platforms like Moodle and data management systems like Notion is highly desirable.
