MongoDB/AWS Database Consultant
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We are seeking a highly experienced MongoDB/AWS Database Consultant to help us resolve two critical issues with our MongoDB service running on Docker in EC2 instances.
The issues are:
- Our replica set currently has only one working node.
- We need advice on how to manage this service in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the replica set, ensuring it is working reliably and efficiently.
- Assess our current MongoDB setup and make recommendations on whether to keep self-managing, migrate to Atlas DB, or move to DocumentDB.
- Cost and scope out any necessary work involved in making any changes to our current MongoDB setup, including a costing based on our current workload.
- Collaborate with our team to ensure a highly collaborative approach to problem-solving. You will not have direct access to servers, but you will work as a team member to solve the problem.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MongoDB database administration and AWS infrastructure management.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to MongoDB replica sets.
- Strong knowledge of AWS EC2 instances and Docker containerization.
- Proven ability to make recommendations on database migrations and scaling solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
