INDIVIDUAL Cloud Support Engineer (from India)
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Contract - 3 to 6 months. (FULL-TIME ONLY)
Remuneration: 1.0 - 1.5 lacs/month (according to relevant experience).
JD:
The Cloud Support Specialist reports to the Senior Cloud Architect and works as part of a product team to monitor and support our cloud applications. They work with the Cloud Architecture and Application Support teams to facilitate routine product lifecycle operations, as well as monitor and diagnose issues with our cloud applications. Support Specialists work in a continuous improvement framework to implement new processes as well as to maximize the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud offerings.
The Cloud Support Specialist will draw from their background in Cloud-scale infrastructure control, microservice lifecycle processes, cloud-native tools, virtual infrastructure management, configuration management, DevOps, and security best practices to monitor and support our cloud deployments. They will be strongly customer service oriented to assist customers and application support reps with infrastructure-related issues. Support Specialists use strong problem-solving skills to understand platform issues and resolve or escalate them as required.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitoring Cloud and application performance metrics and responding to alerts
First-level cloud support for issues reported by customers
Education And Training :
3+ years relevant work experience aligning with position requirements and ability to demonstrate knowledge. Of which at least a year of hands-on CI/CD experience in AWS, GCP or Azure cloud which includes Kubernetes based deployment.
Knowledge And Expertise :
The role will require some experience in the following areas:
Kubernetes object management
Microservice-based product delivery
Cloud computing foundational services (e.g. EC2, VPC, EBS, IAM, S3 … etc)
Configuration Management & IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools (e.g. Terraform, Helm 2/3, CloudFormation, Ansible)
Programming or scripting experience (shell, powershell, python,…)
Core Competencies :
Communication
Demonstrated ability to execute infrastructure delivery and management
Adaptability
Planning and organization.
