Create Audio Books using AWS Polly

I want to create audiobooks from text files using AWS Polly. - in European Portuguese actually, though that´s not particularly important for the definition of the project.

Polly will only deal with file of max 1500 characters, so any book needs to be broken down into files of that length to be passed to Polly and then the resulting mp3s re-assembled into a single audio file.

I am already using AWS Polly to do this via a small Python programme that I found on line, but that will only handle plain text files and not SSML. I need access to SSML tags.

Outline requirements are:

• Convert unlimited length (or at least 1 million characters) text files into single audio file.
• Use AWS Polly
• Be able to use AWS Polly Portuguese (European) (pt-PT) - at least.
• Be able to use AWS Polly Neural voices.
• Be able to accept SSML tags.
• Operate under Windows.
