Azure Instance Configuration for Flight Simulation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am in need of an expert who can configure an Azure or AWS computer instance that will run a flight simulator. This requires a specific setup:
- Windows should be the operating system on the instance.
- The GPU should be an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.
- The specific Flight Simulator program to run is X-Plane 11.
- I have X-Plane on the AWS EC2 instance I created but not on the Azure system. I would be able to download it to the instance for Azure
- The expected graphical level is a medium resolution with high detail.
- The system needs to be locked down or in a multi-app kiosk mode so that only an administrator can change the configuration. It will be used by customers (pilots) who will be receiving training on our simulated head up displays.
- The system needs to be set up so that it is only billed when we are actively using it. At other times we need to have it in an idle mode where it isn't being billed.
- The X-Plane 11 instance will need to be licensed to that system so that the computer instance it isn't destroyed after each use.
- It should have 16 GB RAM, 100 GB Hard Disk Space
- We would like to be able to pre-set the customer login credentials or just the password for predetermined 4 hour time slots. For example, Customer #1 would have from 12 noon to 4 pm, Customer 2 from 4 pm to 8 pm, etc.
- We want an easy login experience for customers. So, for example, once they purchase training time for using the system they would be sent a URL and the login credentials so they could get their training. When they click on the URL they would log in and see the flight simulation. They wouldn't have to wait for the simulator to start up. It would already be started up and in a specific training profile that we would predefine.
- If possible, we would like to have the ability to have a 2nd person (e.g., instructor or tech support person) able to log onto the session at the same time as the customer.
Key skills required:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Azure and its configuration.
- Considerable experience with Windows OS.
- Understanding the graphical requirements and capabilities of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.
- Familiarity with flight simulation software, particularly X-Plane 11.
Please ensure you have these abilities before bidding. I look forward to working with you to accomplish this task.
