Amazon SES Email OTP Integration

Job ID: 40202430

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m rolling out email-based one-time-password verification for both my iOS and Android apps and I want the messaging to run through Amazon Simple Email Service. I don’t yet have an SES account, so the job starts with creating and configuring one from scratch—moving it out of the sandbox, verifying the sending domain or address, and generating production-ready SMTP/API credentials.

Once the service is live, I need the full OTP flow implemented: generating secure codes on the backend, sending them through SES, and exposing a clean endpoint that the mobile apps can hit to request and validate the codes. The final result should allow a user to enter their email, receive the OTP within seconds, and use it to confirm their account—all with deliverability and rate-limiting best practices in place.

Deliverables
• SES account setup, domain/email verification, and sandbox removal
• Back-end logic for code generation, storage, expiry, and validation
• REST (or GraphQL) endpoint documented for the iOS and Android teams
• Test plan proving successful delivery and validation in both apps
• Brief handoff guide so my team can maintain and monitor SES going forward

If you’ve integrated SES for transactional email before and are comfortable handling security around OTP workflows, I’d love to get this moving right away.
