IT Admin/Technical Support for Bootcamp Students

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

I am seeking an experienced IT Admin or technical support specialist to assist students at a beginner level in a bootcamp. The primary responsibilities will include:

- Software installation and troubleshooting
- Addressing network and connectivity issues
- Providing general IT support and guidance

The students are exclusively using macOS. Therefore, deep expertise in this operating system is essential. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts in a simple and understandable way for beginners.

Some more specific details:
- Assist students with software installations, including VPN software, AWS account creation, basic EC2 server setup, and more.
- Manage student access by creating, deleting, suspending, and restoring users on various platforms.
- Publish lecture recordings, assignments, quizzes, labs, etc., as requested by instructors.
- Monitor Slack DMs, channels, or email for any user requests or questions, and proactively respond within 1-2 hours during business hours (CST).
- If familiar with AWS, review AWS bills and terminate resources or remove access as needed.
- Publish student demos of final projects.
- Work on specific team requests as needed, such as setting up account connections or implementing new tools.
- Document processes and maintain organized records.

Good interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to help others (rather than being forced) is important. We expect someone in this role to be quite responsive on Slack and Jira comments.
