Description:
Our Project was paused for some years in the development side and resumed about 3 months ago. We currently have a production environment with an RDS postgres database and a development environment with an RDS aurora postgres database. Our architecture is created, managed and maintained in aws with terraform. After completing a merge request if the pipeline and the build job is successful, the new docker image gets uploaded to aws, after this we use terraform to update the respective task in ECS. In our first apply in terraform the development DB was eliminated due to some configuration errors such as an obsolete engine version and we want to be sure that our configuration of the production environment is correct and won't cause any problems.
At this time we have doubts about some configurations in the development infrastructure that had to be changed in Terraform for apply to work such as the engine version and the encrypted value from false to true.
We also want to review which prod configurations can cause problems in terraform.
We have doubts about a possible error in the pipeline that is not allowing docker to make migrations to the database
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance
- Assisting with database migration and backup tasks
- Providing guidance and recommendations for improving our webapp
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of AWS, Terraform, Django and React and best practices. They should be able to handle tasks within a week and be available for ongoing support. Immediate availability and flexibility in working hours would be a plus.
If you have the necessary skills and experience, please submit your proposal with examples of previous projects you have worked on.
