INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the RFP for the migration of www.jobtask.co.uk to AWS Amplify. JobTask is your trusted partner for cleaning, removals, furniture assembly, and more. This RFP seeks a vendor to manage the swift release of our latest version of JobTask Digital Website.
PROJECT SCOPE
The vendor will be responsible for:
DNS UPDATE
Existing www.jobtask.co.uk is pointing towards the old JobTask website, and we wish to now point it to the new website and all the subpages should be accessible. The DNS is available on GoDaddy.
DELETE EXCESSIVE EC2 INSTANCES
Deleting any existing Amazon EC2 instances and cleaning up additional services previously purchased that are no longer needed.
DOMAIN TRANSFER
Transferring all associated domains to AWS Route 53 to consolidate our web services under AWS, which may include both domain and DNS management transfers.
BACKEND APPLICATION EC2 DEPLOYMENT
The deployment of a Backend Application developed using NodeJS and ExpressJS on an EC2 instance that the vendor will create. This deployment will include setting up HTTPS for secure communications and configuring the service to be accessible through a designated subdomain.
TIMELINE AND MILESTONES
COMPLETION
The entire project must be completed within 1 day of the contract award. There is no flexibility in this timeline.
VENDOR REQUIREMENTS
The ideal vendor for this project should meet the following criteria:
Experience with similar technologies: Proven track record of projects involving AWS Amplify, EC2, GoDaddy and Route 53.
Rapid Deployment Capability: Ability to meet the aggressive timeline of 1 day for project completion.
Ability to add HTTPS protocol to EC2 Instance: Demonstrated experience in implementing secure applications on AWS, particularly with HTTPS configurations.
Domain Management Experience: Experience with DNS and domain transfer processes, especially within the AWS environment
Availability for Immediate Start: Availability to commence work immediately upon contract award.
AWS Certification: Vendors having AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer credentials will have an added advantage.
