AWS Windows VM for EHR

Job ID: 40444115

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

I need a Windows-based virtual machine spun up on Amazon Web Services and fully prepared for an Electronic Health Records (EHR) trial. I will provide the installer and licence keys; you bring the AWS know-how to choose the right instance type, harden the OS, open only the essential ports, and grant me full administrator access.

Once the server is online, the EHR package must be installed, configured, and connected to its database engine (SQL Server Express is fine for now unless you advise otherwise). After installation, I want to walk through the application together, troubleshoot any performance or permission issues, and confirm that remote users can reach the live environment securely over HTTPS.

If everything works well, I’m likely to need ad-hoc help down the road—patching the OS, scaling resources, or just general AWS advice—so clarity and good documentation during the initial build are important to me.

Key deliverables:
• Provision and secure an AWS Windows VM with administrator credentials delivered to me
• Successful installation and basic configuration of the EHR software, including database and HTTPS access
• Screen-sharing session to verify functionality and resolve any launch issues
• Short, plain-language runbook covering the steps you took and how to repeat or modify them later

Fluent English is a must, along with familiarity with medical privacy legislation and obligations.

Experience with AWS EC2, IAM, security groups, Windows Server administration, and healthcare data best practices will be a strong fit. Experience with automation such as Make and JSON integration is desirable. Ability to edit and update SQL databases is also desirable.
