AWS Setup for Dockerized Webapp
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm looking for an AWS expert to help me set up Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3 services. My goal is to run my web application on Dockers.
The primary responsibilities for this job include:
• Install Docker on the Application AWS EC2 instances.
• Create a stateless, fault-tolerant workload using Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling with launch templates to request Amazon EC2 Spot Instances when certain utilization thresholds are exceeded.
• Create an AWS Application Load Balancer and use it in concert with Amazon Auto Scaling to add and remove instances as needed.
• Configure the Auto Scaling group to manage the infrastructure that the Amazon ECS tasks and services run on. Amazon ECS manages the scale-in and scale-out actions of the Auto Scaling group.
• Specify the Amazon ECS-optimized AMI, the instance type, the minimum number of instances to launch for the Auto Scaling group (the two application servers), and the maximum number of instances to launch in the Auto Scaling group (two main servers plus one Spot instance or more).
• Create the launch template for the Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling group that includes parameters required to launch an EC2 instance such as the ID of the Amazon Machine Image (AMI) and the instance type.
• AWS Application Load Balancer will distribute the requests to the two Application Servers on Amazon EC2 Instances in addition to one or more Spot instances if they are activated.
• Deliver and configure Amazon CloudFront to cache Sismatix’s content at edge locations in the Middle East (Manama, Bahrain, Dubai, and Fujairah) to provide the best performance users in the region, up to 40% improvement in latency when accessing content through CloudFront
Ideal skills and experience for this job include:
- Extensive experience with Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3.
- Proven track record of setting up and managing Dockerized applications on AWS.
- Deep understanding of AWS security best practices.
- Ability to optimize the setup for high performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
